National Park "Plitvice Lakes"
The Plitvice Lakes are hidden in ancient, virgin forest. They consist of1 6 small and large lakes of crystal clear blue and green colored water. The Lakes are stepwise and descending concted to one another in a series of 5460 m. The lakes are divided into upper and lower lakes, and the largest and deepest lake is Kozjak with 81.5 hectares of surface and a maximum of 47 m in depth.
The lakes get their water by numerous rivers and streams, and are conected by foaming cascades and noisy waterfalls. In the Plitvice Lakes National Park is famous for its many great and wonderful waterfalls as well as small waterfalls. Traverine barriers part the Lakes. Large forestry complexes, exceptional natural beauty, lakes and waterfalls, flora and fauna, mountain air, contrasting colors of autumn, forest trails, wooden bridges and more are part of a whole which is unrepeatable and UNESCO world heritage. Each visit is a new and unique experience of nature, its strength and beauty. A day trip begins in the early morning hours, the return is scheduled in the evening.
